I confess: The pressure of the responsibility of taking care of home and family often paralyzes me into a Facebook/Reddit/Words with Friends coma of uselessness.
However, I have found a time management tool that has helped me a bit: a rather pricey app for my phone called Motivated Mothers.
The app automatically generates an efficient, yet modifiable todo list of household cleaning and organizing tasks. I recommend not fussing with the app too much though; it's practically perfect, as is. I don't have to go thru, room by room and think about what needs to be done, or how often. The app just suggests my tasks and I comply. If a task is not on the list for that day, I free myself from the guilt of that mess. It will get done. Eventually.
The trick is this: housework doesn't really take that long, it's not really hard to do, and a clean house changes your whole attitude toward everything.
So, if by chance you are hanging out on your phone/computer, surrounded by disaster, you might check it out.

This sounds like something I need! I barely kept up with the house when I SAHM but now that I work 30 hours per week, I am totally NOT keeping up at all!
